Timothy J. Gorton, age 65, died June 18, 2021 at Philip Hulitar Hospice in Providence after an extended illness. Born in Providence, on February 6, 1956, Tim was a son to the late Everett B. and Joan Mulcahy Gorton. Attending local schools, Tim graduated college with a master’s degree. Other than his parents, Tim is predeceased by two brothers William J. Gorton and John P. ‘Jack’ Gorton, and his sister Rosemary Gorton Wasserman. Tim is survived by his brother James K. Gorton of Cranston, and several nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews as well as a host of loving friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Concelebrated on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at 10am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 596 Jefferson Blvd., Warwick. Friends and family are invited to call at church from 8:30 to 9:30. Arrangements by THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Warwick. www.murphyfuneralhomes.org.
