Dr. Warren “Doc” Francis Caire passed away on Sunday, February 13th, 2022. Born in Edgard, LA, Resident of New Orleans, LA. Warren was 88 years old.

Known as “Doc,” or “Dr. Caire,” to the faculty, staff, and the thousands of students he taught during his 54-year career as a teacher and mentor at De La Salle High School in New Orleans “on the Avenue.”

Son of the late Sidney and Annette Caire. Brother of the late Sidney Caire Jr., Sybil Pedeaux, Eloise Abadie (Izzy), Vivian Berthelot (Viv), Etienne Joseph Caire II (E.J.), Sophie Grenier, Geraldine Caire (Jerry), Adele Caire (Delly) rscj, and Garrard Walton Caire (Ton). Survived by sisters Laura Ann Caire rscj, and Margaret Caire (Marg), rscj., and loving nieces and nephews.

Graduate of St. Joseph Seminary College, St. Benedict, LA.; with advanced degrees and studies at the Pontifical Gregorian University, Rome, Italy, and as a resident of the Catholic University of America in Rome, Italy; Loyola University, New Orleans, LA.; Tulane University, New Orleans, LA.; and Peabody College, Nashville, TN. Fourth Degree Member, Knights of Columbus, Council 1514.

Visitation on Thursday evening, February 17th, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at De La Salle High School, 5300 St. Charles Avenue, New Orleans, LA., and on Saturday, February 19th, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Parish Church, 2349 Hwy 18, Edgard, LA. Funeral mass immediately following the 11:00 a.m. visitation in Edgard. Interment in St. John the Baptist Parish Cemetery, Edgard.
