McManus, Patrick D. of Mounds View, formerly Duluth, died July 29, 2007 at the age of 69 surrounded by family and friends. Pat was a loving husband, a dedicated father, and a truly inspiring grandfather. Preceded in death by brother, Jimmy. Survived by wife, Nanci (Walstrom), of 39 years; children, Mike (Cathie), Kate (Steve), John (Alyssa); granddaughters, Meghan, Jenna & Georgia; and sister, Marilyn and brother, Dick. Pat was a brilliant man with many professions, from priest to principal; his final career being a world-renowned Criminal Justice Consultant for nearly all 50 states. As an advocate for society’s hidden population, he worked tirelessly for human rights in the American prison system. Patrick worked as he lived, with compassion, kindness, and love. We will remember you as you live in our hearts forever. Visitation Wed., August 1, 4-8 PM at Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel, 1827 Coon Rapids Blvd. (763- 767-1000).
