Reverend Alfred R. (Ray) Guthrie was born in Brooklyn, NY on 10/3/1930, ordained 6/4/1955, Died March 3, 2010 at Calvary Hospital, Bronx, N.Y. He was pre-deceased by his parents Agnes (nee Walsh) and Alfred, Sr. as well as a brother Kenneth. Al was the oldest of 12 children and is survived by his brothers Gerard (Beverly), Eugene (Pamela), Kevin (Victoria), Richard Paul and John and his sisters Rita Curtin (Jack), Regina Hines (Harold), Mary Jane Hansen (Dan), Marguerite Mohan and Ellen Ricci (Ralph). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Reposing at the C. Johann & Sons Funeral Home, 2104 College Point Blvd., College Point, Saturday 2-5 & 7-9 P.M. and Sunday 2-5 P.M. only. Mass of Transferral Sunday, 7:30 P.M., St. Fidelis Church. Funeral Mass Monday 11:00 A.M., St. Fidelis Church. Interment St. John’s Cemetery Middle Village, NY.
