Monsignor Francis J. Zavodny, 78, died Sept. 30, 2003 in Holy Family Villa for Priests, Bethlehem, where he resided.

He was pastor of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1966-2002, Allentown, and was named pastor emeritus in 2002. He was principal of Bethlehem Catholic High School, 1964-66, vice principal of Central Catholic High School, Allentown, 1963-64, and professor there, 1952-63, and assistant pastor of St. Joseph’s Church, Ashland, in 1951.
