JOHN ANTHONY AIELLO died peacefully November 3, 2005 at the home of his parents following a brief illness. Born in Memphis on October 11, 1958, John attended Our Lady of Sorrows Grade School, Christian Brothers High School, Christian Brothers University, Saint Meinrad College in Indiana and the University of St. Thomas in Rome, Italy. He was ordained a Catholic priest for the Diocese of Memphis on June 29, 1986 and served in a number of parishes throughout West Tennessee. Since 1998 he has been serving as organist and choir director in St. Louis, MO.

John is survived by his parents, Lena and Haywood Aiello; his siblings, Margaret Aiello, Mary Blainas, Janet Brashier and Michael Aiello, all of Germantown and Claudia Ogilvie of Buffalo, NY, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Park Funeral Home, with a Vigil Service being held at 7 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
