Rev. Lloyd F. Stephenson

The Reverend Lloyd Franklin Stephenson, 49, died Thursday, March 11, 2004. A Newport News native, he was the son of Mrs. Jean Stephenson Graham. Reverend Stephenson retired as Veteran’s Administration Chaplain and pastor of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church. He was a graduate of North American College. Other survivors include LaVene (Bertram) Hall, Leroy Theodore Stephenson Jr., Kevin E. Stephenson and Charles Roberson, and a host of nieces, cousins and friends. A Wake Service will be held 7 p.m. Sunday, March 14, at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, 230 33rd Street, Newport News. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1 p.m. Monday at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 18 N. Laurel St. & Cathedral Place, Richmond. Bishop Walter F. Sullivan will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life.
