LABADIE, Reverend Father Michael William, a Roman Catholic priest died June 28, 2005. Father Labadie was born June 1, 1973 in Cleveland, Ohio and was a graduate of Our Lady Queen of Mercy School, Montgomery, Alabama and was a graduate of Montgomery Catholic High School. He graduated from Huntingdon College in 1995, and as a seminarian he studied at St. Joseph Seminary College, St. Benedict, Louisiana and The Pontifical North American College , Vatican City State where he engaged in theological studies at the Pontifical Gregorian University. He was ordained to the Sacred Priesthood on May 18, 2002 by Archbishop Oscar H. Lipscomb at the Basilica Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Mobile, Alabama. He was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity at Huntingdon College and was a member of the Catholic Knights of Columbus. He served as parochial vicar at Church of the Holy Spirit, Montgomery, Alabama from 2002-2004 and was named as Chaplain and instructor of theology at Montgomery Catholic High School. In June 2004, Fr. Labadie was assigned to Our Lady Queen of Mercy, Montgomery as priest in residence and remained Chaplain and teacher at Montgomery Catholic High School. Fr. Labadie was the son of Rev. Mr. James and Mrs. Mary Ann Labadie of Montgomery, Alabama and Mr. David and Mrs. Nan Scheall of Cleveland Ohio and had two sisters Denise Donohue and Laura Finger (Ken), nieces and nephews, Andy, Kelsey, Matthew, Ashley and August. Fr. Labadie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Michael & Bessie Martaus , Billy & Pinky Scheall and James & Elizabeth Labadie. Visitation will be held at Our Lady Queen of Mercy Church, June 30, 2005 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held July 1, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Mercy Church with interment at St. Margaret’s Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Andrew Gordon, James Williams, Brandon Saxman, Richie Saxman, Michael Donohue, Matthew Donohue, Kenneth Singer and August Singer.
