The Reverend Michael A. Valente passed away on July 21, 2022. He was born on June 13, 1931 in Chicago to the late Vincent and Antoinette. Preceded in death by his parents and numerous family members. Survived by numerous family and friends, one classmate Father John Doyle “Class of 1958”. He was loved by many, especially his St. Anthony Parish family. In November 2021, the city of Joliet named Van Buren Street the Rev. Michael Valente Way for his dedication to the parish. Father was the longest-serving pastor of Church of St. Anthony. Father was ordained to the Catholic priesthood on June 7, 1958, at the Cathedral of St. Raymond, Joliet, Illinois. He also served at many area parishes.

Fr. Valente will Lie in State Thursday, July 28 from 9:oo am to 11:00 am. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am St. Anthony Church 100 N. Scott St. Joliet, Il.
