Reverend Monsignor Anthony A. F. Leuer, Chaplain of Marymount College in Palos Verdes, passed away September 18, 2003. A native of Long Beach, and an alumnus of St. Anthony’s High School, St. John’s Seminary in Camarillo and the Gregorian University in Rome. Father Tony was a priest of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles ordained in 1961 in Rome. Known for his deep spirituality, his kindness and his love for the poor, he served as parish priest, missionary, spiritual director, seminary professor and college chaplain. He will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Lay Mission-Helpers Association, c/o Mission Office, 3424 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90010. He is survived by sisters, Mary Margaret Leuer and Veronica Anne Vetter; nephew, Micheal Joseph Vetter, Sr., his wife, Lisa Joy Vetter; 2 great nephews; Michael Joseph Jr., and Nicholas Owen; and many cousins. Visitation Monday, September 22nd, 3:00 to 8:00 PM with vigil at 7:00 PM, held at All Souls Mortuary Chapel, 4400 Cherry Avenue, Long Beach, CA. Funeral Mass Tuesday, September, 23rd, 11:00 AM held at Holy Trinity Church, 209 N. Hanford Ave. San Pedro, CA. Interment at All Souls Cemetery.
