A funeral Mass was celebrated July 18 at St. Roch Church inS t. Louis for Msgr. Donald E. Rau, a retired parish pastor and chaplain who had served in the archdiocesan marriage tribunal and taught canon law to seminary students. Msgr. Rau, 80, died July 14. The native St. Louisan and Kenrick Seminary graduate was ordained a priest in 1956 at the St. Louis Cathedral by then-Archbishop Joseph E. Ritter.
