Rev. Msgr. Francis P. Sorci, diocese of Buffalo, passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at age 92. Pastor Emeritus of Christ the King R.C. Church, Snyder; beloved son of the late Antonino and Magdalene (nee Pollino) Sorci; dear brother of the late James V. Sorci, Theresa Ritz, Felicia Sorci, Mary Pollino and Joseph Sorci; dearest friend of Barbara Knorr; also survived by two nieces, three nephews and several great-nieces and nephews.

The family will be present to receive friends Friday 2-7 PM at (Amherst Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC. 5200 Sheridan Dr. (corner Hopkins). Msgr. Sorci will lie in state Saturday morning from 9-11 AM at Christ the King Church (Main & Lamarck Dr.) where a concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM. Most Rev. Edward U. Kmiec, D.D. Bishop of Buffalo will be principal celebrant. Friends invited. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Msgr.’s memory to Catholic Charities,741 Delaware Ave.Buffalo, NY. 14209.
