GANNON Msgr. John M. Gannon, STL, JCD, age 86, died Saturday July 20, 2002 at St. Joseph rectory 147 West 24th Street. Son of the late James E. and Christina (Messler) Gannon. Brother of Harry Gannon of North East, and the late Mary Hynes, Msgr. James Gannon, Thomas and August Gannon. A number of Nieces and Nephews also survive. Msgr. John M. Gannon will lie in state at St. Joseph Church on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. a Vesper service will be held there Monday evening at 6 oclock he will also lie in state at St. Peter Cathedral on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday till the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. with the Most Rev. Donald W. Trautman and the priest of the Diocese officiating. An evening prayer service for the Faithfully Departed will be held on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at St. Peter Cathedral. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. The Francis V. Kloecker Funeral Home, Inc. 2502 Sassafras is in charge of the arrangements.
