Gilsenan, Monsignor John P. 84, passed away peacefully Friday, July 15, 2016. He was born May 19, 1932 in Dublin, Ireland, to John and Kathleen Gilsenan. R

osary: 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2016; Mass of Christian Burial: 10 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 2016, both at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception 430 N. Broadway. A Graveside Service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2016, at Ascension Cemetery, 7200 East 45th St. North.

He is survived by his brothers, Matthew G. Gilsenan of Dublin, Ireland and Anthony R. Gilsenan of Cambridge, England; sisters, Breda Gilsenan-Raymond and Sr. M. Bernadette Gilsenan, both of Ireland and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Una Keegan and Eithne O’Beirne.
