REV. MSGR. MARTIN H. THIELEN

A concelebrated Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 am, Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008 in the convent chapel of the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon in Beaverton for the Rev. Monsignor Martin H. Thielen, who died Oct. 29 at age 97.

 Martin H. Thielen was born March 11, 1911, in Minneapolis and moved to the Portland area at age 12.  He studied inRomeand was ordained a priest in 1935.  He was vice principal and principal of Central Catholic High School, as well as pastor of St. Stephen Catholic Church and St. Thomas More.  He also served as superintendent of schools for the Portland Archdiocese.

 Survivors include his cousins.
