SHARKEY, Rev. Msgr. Thomas H., 91 of Northfield entered into eternal life on Wednesday, September 10, 2014. He was born October 4, 1922 in New York, NY. He received his JCD degree in canon law at the North American College in Rome, Italy and was ordained to the priesthood on May 22, 1948 by Most Rev. Bartholomew J. Eustace. From 1948 to 1961, he served in various parishes throughout the Diocese of Camden. Msgr. Sharkey served as Chancellor of the Diocese of Camden from 1960 to 1965. From 1961 until retiring in 1998 he served in the ministerial priesthood of Jesus Christ for the Diocese of Camden in the following capacities: Pastor, Holy Name, Camden; Pastor, St. Joan of Arc, Camden; Pastor, St. Teresa, Runnemede; Pastor, Our Lady of Good Counsel, Ocean City.

He is predeceased by his parents George and Anna Sharkey and brother Rev. Msgr. George E. Sharkey.

Viewing will take place on Tuesday, September 16th at St. Gianna Beretta Molla Parish – St. Bernadette Church, 1421 New Road, Northfield from 9:30am to 11:15am. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:30am. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill.
