KERN – Msgr. Walter O. Passed away November 15, 2008, after a lengthy illness in Briody Health Care Facility, Lockport, NY. Msgr. Kern is survived by his two brothers Jacob P. (Joan) Kern, Jr. and Jerome J. (Mary Alice) Kern both of Lockport; he is the brother-in-law of Margaret Kern also of Lockport and predeceased by his brother Hubert F. Kern. Msgr. Kern is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at PRUDDEN & KANDT FUNERAL HOME,242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Bishop Edward Kmiec on Friday at 10:30 AM in St. Marys Roman Catholic Church,5 Saxton St., Lockport. Interment will be inSt.MarysCemetery. Memorials to the St. Vincent DePaul Society c/o St. Marys R.C. Church or to the Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family.
