Rev. Patrick Joseph Christopher, 65, of De Soto died Nov. 3, 2024, at Hillcrest Care Center in De Soto. The Rev. Patrick was ordained into the priesthood on Jan. 12, 1991, and served as Pastor or Assistant Pastor to many parishes throughout the St. Louis Archdiocese. He was a man of deep faith, cherished by his family and revered by his parishioners and fellow priests. He enjoyed traveling and playing golf. He loved spending time with his friends, family and, most importantly, his nieces and nephews. He will be remembered for his commitment to faith and the community. Born Dec. 29, 1958, in Crystal City, he was the son of the late Sidney “Sid” & Agnes Nadine (Harston) Christopher.

He is survived by three siblings: Rebecca “Becky” (Wayne) Bliss of De Soto, Tim (Colleen) Christopher of O’Fallon and Tom (Connie) Christopher of De Soto; a sister-in-law: Cindy Christopher of De Soto; many nieces and nephews; and numerous other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert “Bob” Christopher and Ronald Christopher.

Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, at Seven Holy Founders Catholic Church, 6737 S. Rock Hill Road, in Affton. A funeral Mass is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, at the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the ALS Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
