Rev. Ronald J. Hart, 75, of Aurora, formerly of Herscher and Bradley, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Presence Mercy Medical Center in Aurora. He was born on May 28, 1942 in Chicago, the son of George and Josephine (Novak) Hart.

Rev. Hart received his Bachelor’s Degree from Immaculate Conception and his Master’s in Divinity from St. Meinard’s Seminary. He was ordained as a Priest on April 17, 1971 by Bishop Raymond Vanesh at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Joliet. He was previous pastor for the following parishes: St. Margaret Mary in Herscher, St. James in Irwin, St. Joseph in Bradley, St. Paul in Peotone, St. Boniface in Monee, St. Joseph in Lockport and most recently, St. Phillips in Addison. Rev. Hart was a member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed fishing, hiking, camping and reading.

He is survived by one sister Arlene Lepic of Darien; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Josephine Hart, and two sisters Jane Rader and Delores Angone.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, from 4pm to 8pm at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Naperville (1450 Green Trails Dr.). Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at 11am, also at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Naperville. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville (200 W. Romeo Rd.). Memorials may be made to St. John Vianney Villa in Naperville.
