Rev. Thomas B. Mailloux, CSB Born May 27, 1925 in Amherstburg, ON, one of eleven children of Leo J. Mailloux and Rita Mahon and was born to eternal life May 27, 2014 at home with his fellow Basilian Fathers in Toronto, ON. He is survived by his siblings Bernard, Edward, Francis and Sister Lucille, SNJM. After graduating from Assumption College, Windsor in 1945, Tom entered the Basilian Novitiate. He was ordained a priest in the Congregation of St. Basil in 1950. Fr. Tom taught at Assumption College School in Windsor until 1965. Subsequently he ministered at Basilian parishes in Toronto, Rochester, Amherstburg and finally Houston. He fully retired in Toronto in August 2013. Fr. Tom, always gracious, was well loved wherever he went. He was musically educated and a gifted pianist and organist. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29 from 6:30 p.m. with a Wake Service at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel of the Cardinal Flahiff Basilian Centre, 95 St. Joseph Street, Toronto. Visitation will also be held on Friday, May 30 from 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the same Chapel. Interment Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery – Thornhill, ON.
